Thank you parents, campers, and staff for making the 2nd Annual Muscles and Meals a big success. Alimacani Summer Camp will be donating 356 cans to B.E.A.M.! A special thank you goes to Mr. Streeter and Ms. Pugh for planning and organizing Muscles and Meals!

The campers enjoyed the morning at Chuck-e-Cheese. They played games and earned tickets to purchase items at the gift shop.

2nd Annual Muscles and Meals Workout! The campers used the cans today in their workout. The cans will now be donated to B.E.A.M. (Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry). The goal was 200 cans and the campers brought in a whopping 356! Way to go! Thank you to everyone who participated.

6th Annual Chinese Jump Rope Tournament! Congratulations to all the participants.

Disney's Animal Kingdom

Parents/Gurardians,

Tomorrow we head down to Disney's Animal Kingdom! 

If your camper is riding the bus, the doors open at 6:00am and campers need to be here by 6:15am. Campers need to wear their camp shirt and sneakers.  They will need money for food ($20 is recommended) and souvenir money, if you choose.  

If you are following the bus please meet in the large parking lot by 6:15am.  If you are meeting the bus down in Orlando we will see you at the main entrance to Animal Kingdom around 9:15. 

We plan on arriving back to Alimacani at 7:00pm.  I will be e-mailing updates along the trip back to let you know our location and any traffic issues.  Mr. Nelson will have the sign out sheet so please make sure you see him before the buses arrive.  He will also be putting up group colors for you to stand near to welcome back your camper.  Please stand near your campers group color.  If you have more than one camper please stand behind your youngest campers group color.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Reminders • On July 24th, doors open at 6:00am and buses leave at 6:15am. • Parents please update emergency information on camp form. • Campers must wear camp shirt and sneakers. • Campers are responsible for meals. Quick service meals are under $14.99. We recommend $20 in order to purchase lunch and extra water. Quick service meals are meals that you order and pickup yourself, without the assistance of wait staff. • Campers may bring their Alimacani Summer Camp Backpack with spending money, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, and disposal camera. All these items are the responsibility of the camper. • Parents please place money in baggie with camper’s name on it and what the money will be used for (souvenirs, purchase meals, etc.) • Hand held video games are allowed on the bus and will stay on the bus while the camper is in the park. • On the bus, a snack and bottled water will be provided on the way down and on the way back. • Buses will return to Alimacani at 7:00pm.

MUSCLES and MEALS

July 26^th, 2012 

Summer Camp will be exercising and collecting cans for a food drive to benefit the Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry (BEAM).  Each camper is asked to bring in two canned goods that will be used in their Muscles and Meals Workout!  The canned goods will then be donated to BEAM. 

Last year, the Camp donated 120 canned goods to BEAM.  Let’s beat that total and donate 200 this year! Campers can start bringing in cans on Monday, July 16^th.

Meals range from $7.48(child)/$11.76 (adult) for a pasta/pizza buffet.
