Every year in Summer camp, Mr. Streeter and Ms. McAvoy teach campers how to play Chinese jump rope in P.E. and we have a tournament at the end of the Summer. The Chinese jump roping game dates back to 7th-century China. It is a fun and challenging game that uses a large elastic band. Two children wear the band around their ankles while a third child jumps over and on it. Our campers learn how to play "American", "Chinese" and "Diamond" using the Chinese jump rope.
